With the Devils staring a four game losing streak in the face, the team responded with two wins over the weekend to quickly right the ship. At home, the Devils gritted out a 2-1 win over the Florida Panthers despite not looking sharp for much of the contest.
Then, it was all about the second period against the Blackhawks on Sunday night. The Devils scored five goals in the middle frame to erase what was at one point a three-goal deficit. NJ skated to a 7-5 win behind a hat trick from Miles Wood.
