It was the team’s first playoff game in 6 years and at times, it showed. The Devils struggled in the first period before gaining their footing over the final 40 minutes, but turnovers ultimately did them in as they fell 5-2 in game 1.
We’ll break down all of the action from the game, as well as take a look ahead to Saturday where the Devils will get a chance to even up the series before it returns to New Jersey.
